Born in 1966 in Montreal, Isabelle discovers her attraction for the arts at a very early age. Her fondness for doing portraits manifests itself during her adolescent years where she learns to develop her drawing technique and also begins to explore the basics of oil painting. Following a brief visit in the world of graphic design at the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal, she moves away from the visual arts to pursue her career as a sound engineer in various recording studios in and around Montreal.
After a 20-year hiatus and with the encouragement of her loved ones, Isabelle picks up her brushes and pencils again with renewed passion. She has the great fortune of learning from some of the best artists and teachers in the region, taking classes with Pierre Duhamel, Johanne Blaquière, Denis Jacques, Juan Cristobal, Chantal Ouellet, Chantal De Serres and Anne Lemieux. Her desire to learn and to express her creativity takes a growing place in her life and she believes that she is only starting to explore her talent’s potential.
